"The broken world waits in darkness for the light that is you." LR Knost
Last week's email talked about how important it is to integrate all parts of ourselves even the difficult emotions we hide from. It was a reminder of how difficult it is to sit in the discomfort of an emotion we would prefer to push away, disown or cover up.
The irony is that once we make space for the discomfort of the emotion, once we can love it back into wholeness, its grip on us loosens and the feeling lessons and maybe even goes away. It will probably come back up again and again to be acknowledged and loved but eventually, our reaction to it shifts.
This practice involves staying in the present moment, feeling what is there to be felt, without running or deflecting or covering it over with external things like food or alcohol or scrolling. It leads to so much well being as we are learning to be content in any situation and that allows us to really shine.
While the world around us appears to be in chaos you, through this practice, shine the light of your awareness and the gift of contentment and wholeness on the madness of the world and make it better.
